I had no problem putting on a couple mixes but when I tried putting up the latest DJ Nos mix. I keep getting a connection reset. the only difference between it and the other mixes is that it's 130MB.

Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

I know you can ftp files to the server and have it grab them that way. Honestly I think that without resume support, and everything that has download resume support doesnt' neccesarily have upload resume support, its quite costly.

Having the encrypted filenames may be part of it? Its the only thing I can think of to cause complexity.

http://www.cyborgcow.net/info.php shows a max upload of 200MB.. do you happen to have any outgoing firewalls that may be weird?

I also could have broke it when I did the database backup right as I was logging off. I could have interrupted it. sorry!!

but I'm going to bed and server vitals looks fabulous... if not you can upload it via ftp and it'll grab it... just gotta make an ftp account for that. ftp upload has resume

If it fails again, you can try also going to admin > server settings > caching and turning off level 1 caching.

night!

yeah ftp might be for the best with a big file like that. turning off the caching doesn't seem sustainable if it's needed.

I'll make a ftp account that uploads into the file directory, and then there is a part in the download manager that will scan the directory for any files it doesn't recognize and ask you if you want to import them

That's cool. Though it's sad that the upload applet doesn't work so well. Does smf have a support forum where I can mention it as a bug and ask for guidance? Because I really like the idea that any ordinary non-technical user with the right permissions could upload stuff for all of us to enjoy without needing 3rd party apps like an ftp client.
